Let Go Of Expectations (#133)

I had a really hard time writing gratitude tonight. I wouldn’t say I’m pissed off at the world but I do constantly find myself asking why. Why am I here? Why did this happen? Why does this matter?

I’m learning to let go. Let go of expectations that I can understand why everything happens within our Universe. Let go of expectations that revolve around the things I can’t control. Let go of the past. I’m grateful I made it this far, no need to be nostalgic.

Today I’m Grateful For…

  1. Saying yes and stepping outside my comfort zone
  2. The sunshine and the warmth of the summer to come
  3. Making new friends
  4. Soccer outside and time at the gym
  5. A full day
  6. Playing card games
  7. Making music
  8. Learning of all kinds
  9. Back scratches
  10. Clean water
  11. Hanging out with my friend Peter and talking about life
  12. Spontaneous dancing
  13. Standing in the rain
  14. Naps on Boyden Quad
  15. Friends from Orientation
  16. Morning runs
  17. Comfy pillows
  18. Summer hikes with Lucas
  19. Yard games
  20. Change
  21. My growth, no matter how slow
  22. A strive towards balance
  23. Positive encouragement
  24. Tips on Europe
  25. The here and now

As always, check out my first blog, 25 Things I’m Grateful For (#1) to know why I’m writing this list and why I want you to start yours.
