Dealing With Disappointment (#176)

As I’ve written before, I’m pretty frustrated with my visa situation. I’ve had countless friends and family members remind me to be patient and positive. As much as I appreciate them and their support, it doesn’t change the fact that I’m here.

It’s been tough to keep up with my gratitude but I believe even at our lowest points, there’s still so much we can look back on with appreciation and gratitude.

Today I’m Grateful For…

  1. Home cooked meals
  2. A day by the pool
  3. The inventor of sunscreen
  4. The smell of the ocean and the short walk to the beach
  5. Family traditions and holidays together
  6. Relaxing with a good candle nearby
  7. Walks to the pond with my grandma
  8. Wings on game night
  9. Funny magnets
  10. Solo hikes
  11. Learning of all kinds
  12. Sharing laughter
  13. A little understanding.
  14. Buffalo chicken
  15. Another chance
  16. When my parents said yes to sleepovers
  17. The Boston marathon runs right by my house
  18. Much needed naps
  19. Time at the gym and getting a good sweat
  20. A drink with an old friend
  21. Change
  22. My introvert time
  23. The sound of the train in the night
  24. My parents
  25. The present moment

As always, check out my first blog, 25 Things I’m Grateful For (#1) to know why I’m writing this list and why I want you to start yours.
