Why Gratitude? (#178)

I think in a dark and comical way, I’ve really come to appreciate this quote.

It’s true! Life can often times feel like an insurmountable challenge with no way of succeeding. We have one life. One opportunity to make the most of the precious time we’ve been granted and I want to make sure every second I live and every breath I take, has meaning. That means starting with gratitude. If the unspeakable happened tomorrow, I’ll have been grateful for every second leading up to that.

Life is unpredictable and our future is uncertain. I’ve stopped worrying about the things I can’t control and instead, use gratitude to give power to everything else. Whatever happens, I’m Grateful I’ve made it this far.

Today I’m Grateful For…

  1. Gratitude lists
  2. People who don’t give up
  3. Support when I need it
  4. Good communication
  5. Learning the hard way
  6. Catching up

  9. Being on a team
  10. All the good snacks in the pantry
  11. Walks home from school
  12. The fan next to my bed
  13. A full moon
  14. Friendly competition
