There have been a lot of times in my life where I’ve needed help. I’m a huge proponent of using one’s support system and reaching out. Today, that’s not what I needed. Being here in England away from my friends and family means there’s only so much they can do when I have bad days. That means it’s up to me to be my own hero in this story and I think that fact is empowering.
We can all be the hero of our own story. One of my friends reminded me of an all-time favorite quote from Bruce Lee.
“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”
I’m grateful I’m here in England. I’ve been lonely and work isn’t ideal but I’ve learned so much this summer. I’m exactly where I should be and I have the Universe to thank for that. I just have to remember to take it one day at a time.
